Today, energy conservation efforts within the construction industry aim at increasing operational efficiency and reducing fuel costs. These efforts have lead to the insulation of virtually every commercial and industrial building’s furnaces, boilers, pipes and ducts. Insulation is a tremendous energy savings tool. Trained insulation mechanics are needed to install the insulation and weatherproofing materials. Insulators must be mechanically inclined and enjoy working with mathematical formulas that are needed to fabricate the insulation for the piping and ducts.
Working with both hands and mind, both indoors and outdoors, in all temperatures and weather conditions, will prove to be a challenge in today’s construction industry.
