Sheet metal work is an extremely varied trade.  Sheet metal workers build interior and exterior and exterior architectural work, food service kitchen systems, material handling systems and air handling systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
The sheet metal trade is one of the few modern trades in which the skilled individual takes the raw product, interprets the design drawing, makes the shop drawing, develops the pattern, fabricates the item, installs and maintains it.

How do I prepare for the trade?

The following will be helpful:

  • Good attendance
  • Good math skills
  • Good reading ability
  • Good work ethics

How do I qualify?

The following are necessary:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Have a valid driver's license
