Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glass Workers: General Glazing will include, Installation, setting, cutting, preparing, fabricating, distributing, handling & removal of glass & metals. Including pre-glazed windows, retrofit window systems, mirrors, curtain wall systems, shower door systems, window wall systems, suspended glass systems, lovers, skylights, entranceways including automatic doors, patio doors, store front, column covers, panels, glass hand rails, decorative metals as part of the glazing system, and the sealing of all architectural metal and glass systems for weatherproofing and structural reasons.

Working Conditions

Glaziers have interior and exterior work, including the use of ladders, scaffolding & swing stages. Glaziers move heavy material with various lifts, dollies and trucks. Glaziers load and unload, by hand and as well as cranes and other devices, vehicles used for the delivery of trade related equipment. Glaziers read and interpret blueprints and must be able to read and understand technical literature.

  • Metal Shop

Terms of Apprenticeship

  • Four (4) years of On-Job-Training
  • Minimum of 144 hours of related classroom instruction
